Senseis of Budo Series

 

Monday & Wednesday, November 27th and 30th  7:15pm – 9:30pm
 
Things kick off this month with the Club’s ever popular two day Ukemi workshop during our usual training times on Monday, November 27th and Wednesday, November 30th. This two day workshop is always a great workshop for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike from ALL arts that would like to learn or improve their skills in safe rolling, falling and break falls.
Our Instructors in these workshops are instructors within the Sei Kosho Shorei Kai under Bruce Juchnik and they also have an extensive Aikido background with several years of training. These Ukemi skills are unique to learn and when combined with Kosho Ryu Kempo Throwing Techniques, it makes for a lot of fun!! Concepts and Principals of Throwing arts will be introduced 
Tuition for non-club members is 25.00 for one night 40.00 for both nights.

Shihan Steven Bonk from Orange Massachusetts will be visiting us on Dec 9th. Sensei Bonk is the Chief Instructor at “Bonk’s Kempo Karate School of Natural law”. He is one of the Shihan of the Sei Kosho Shorei Kai under Bruce Juchnik and is also Dan Ranked in Sei Goshin ryu and Shaolin Kempo.  His unique style of teaching kempo is very comprehensive and unmatched!  You don’t wan’t to miss this unique opportunity.

Renshi Tony DiSarro  will be visiting us From Delmar New York on February 24th. Sensei Disarro is currently a senior representative of the Sei Kosho Shorei Kai under Bruce Juchnik Hanshi. He is also the upstate NY regional director of the Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu Kodokai under Sensei Roy Goldberg. Tony has had the great honor to train with many world class instructors throughout the world in a variety of different martial arts. Sensei Tony’s teaching style is based on showing practitioners how natural movements are the basis for all technique. Sensei’s 30+ years experience along with his background in Daito Ryu Aiki makes for an explosive seminar!
Tuition is $70.00

Ukemi Workshop 5/22 & 5/24

Rhode Island Iaido & Kempo Club will be hosting an Ukemi Workshop at 7:15 on Monday May 22nd and Wednesday, May 24th.

Beginners and experienced martial artist will benefit from this workshop of falling and throwing while utilizing natural law principals.

The beginner basics of rolling, falling and breakfalls will be demonstrated and practiced.

This is fundraiser for the dojo so come on down and have some fun throwing around your budo friends!  Just roll with it!

1 in 5 women have been the victim of serious physical violence.

Campus assaults are on the rise.

At NEMAD we believe in helping women become educated, alert and empowered to avoid danger and when needed, defend themselves.
